In 1971 we opened Walkers of Trowell. Fishing tackle shops back then were generally poorly stocked with a limited range of tackle. Our aim was to stock some of the best gear from around the world to kit out every angler whether they were fishing the local canal or travelling to the tropical saltwater flats.

Since those early days, the quality of fishing tackle has improved beyond recognition. An inexpensive float rod that you can buy now is far better than the best that was on offer 48 years ago.
